Dr. Richard Jackson
Richard Jackson, MD, has practiced integrative medicine and psychiatry for over 30 years and possesses extensive experience in a wide variety of clinical and administrative settings. He leads the Center for Integrative Psychiatry in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Dr. Jackson is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee. He is licensed as a physician in Tennessee and is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Jackson is a member of the American Medical Association and the Tennessee Medical Association.
Dr. Jackson's primary area of professional interest is in treating individuals with resistant and complex depressive and anxiety disorders, with the goals of achieving lasting remission of symptoms, maximizing quality of life, and restoring personal and occupational functioning. He has studied the role of ketamine in treatment-resistant depression and anxiety extensively. Dr. Jackson has treated patients with ketamine in his private practice since 2015.
In addition to his main areas of expertise, Dr. Jackson is interested in non-surgical aesthetic and anti-aging medicine. Since 2013, he has been the medical director of Changes Medical Spa and Laser Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.
